Linda McDonald Short Biography:
A PERSONAL PROFILE OF LIVING A LIFE IN FULL
Born in Enid, Oklahoma, and subsequently abandoned by both parents at an early age, Linda grew up with relatives on a working ranch in North Platte, Nebraska, went on the rodeo circuit with various relatives in Oklahoma and Nebraska until her first marriage at age 18.
During that period, she also spent many hours in funeral homes owned by relatives in both states, playing the organ for ceremonies, learning to consult on wardrobe and cosmetics for the deceased, subsequently witnessing countless living examples of survivors brought to emotional and financial trauma by last-minute “end of life” planning.
She would move on to have six children, a grandmother of twelve and ten great grandchildren and would be a cancer survivor.
She would eventually work for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company (ARCO) as one of its first females in sales. From there she moved to a management position in both STP Corporation and chemical manufacturer-distributor NCH Corporation. Yet, Linda was only beginning to realize her potential in business and industry, then she founded an insurance agency called Great Life Educational Academy and even Entertainment Productions.
